The Mac Pro RAM

Our new Mac Pro came with 2 GB of memory, which I promptly upgraded to 6 GB. I was shocked that:

  • The FBDIMMs have heat sinks
  • The heatsinks are enormous

    not all fbdimms have ginormous heat sinks. Im guessing the MAC chooses those instead of the umteen fans that most windows machines have
